WHAT YOU CAN DO IN "2003"

TO

HELP SAVE RODMAN

Save Rodman Reservoir, Inc. only has the capacity to hold one major fund raiser each year, our annual Save Rodman Open Bass Tournament.  As a result we are always needing operating capitol.  Membership dues make up some of the shortfall but it seems like this is never quite enough to do all the things we would like to do to save our wonderful reservoir.  If you would like to contribute to our general operating fund, you can do so through PayPal.  Just click on the button below and make your contribution.  All donations all greatly appreciated. We thank you for your support!

If you wish to do more to Save Rodman you might join as a member or contribute to our legal fund.  Learn more below.

Second   Let your opinion be known!
Contact your area Florida legislators and let them know
you want them to work toward protecting Rodman.

The fight to save Rodman has been a long and hard battle. The 1995, 1996, 1997, and the 1998 Florida legislatures refused to appropriate any money for the destruction of Rodman Reservoir. In fact, the 1999 legislature appropriated $500,000 for repairs to the facilities, including restrooms and boat ramps. No funds for destruction have been allowed since then and improvements to boat ramps, fishing piers, restrooms, and camping facilities have continued. Channel day markers were installed in 2002.

The battle to save Rodman Reservoir is NOT over because the Florida Defenders of the Environment are still lobbying hard to destroy Rodman. They are using every angle they can to destroy Rodman.

Legal Fund

In 2000 a new threat to Rodman's existence made itself known, The U.S. Forest Service. It may be necessary to fight them in court, so we have established a Legal Fund to help cover our court expenses. Click here to find out more about the fund.
